Labour story - baby number 2 (Pulmonary embolism)

Following my blood clot diagnoses we was expecting our birth plans to totally change, in which they did. I no longer could have a home birth as i was classed as a high risk, not a high risk because of our baby but high risk because of me. We went in for an appointment with a baby consultant at our main hospital on the 5/1/18 in which we had a big discussion on what would be our best options. She spoke about being induced or waiting until it naturally happened, but we couldn't make our minds up there and then and needed to sleep on it.

My Recovery story (Natural birth) (Tearing)

I haven't really written on my blog about how my labour went with my daughter and this isn't particularly going to be about that either. It's more about the recovery of birth, how it can affect people in different ways and how it affected me.

I had quite a simple hospital birth with my little girl, contractions as normal, vaginal birth (didn't make it to the delivery ward haha).

Once I had pushed my baby out it all began..

Nobody had really talked about the recovery part of 'Labour', even in all my pregnancy classes and midwife appointments and I see videos today on Youtube about women's birth stories but nothing about what can happen afterwards.

Being judgemental?

I really wanted to write something about this on here. Its been going through my mind ages and I still keep seeing comments on Social Media and people in day to day life with it happening. Why are we judged? Why are we judgemental towards others? I mostly want to pick out being judgemental towards parents and parenting? I know it goes off in the world to everyone not just parents but me now being a mum I see it so much more.

Clayton west light railway trip!

Recently I won some tickets on Facebook to go on a trip to Clayton West Light Railway.

But this wasn't the first time we had been, last year in December we booked tickets to go see Santa Claus and Ava was only 2 years and 3 months old. I wanted to do something special and it was it was magical! even for us adults. You get a 40 minute slot to get onto the little steam train ride through to Shelly, Visit Santa have a mulled wine drink and mince pie then get on the train back. All for a decent price! Definitely an experience not to miss. It was dark too so you could see all the Christmas lights and even go through a dark tunnel. Ava loved every minute. But get wrapped up because its freezing!

Potty training my 3 year old (how its not going to plan)

I see so much written about potty training over social media and the internet. There's so much hate about it. What, because Katie Price's little boy is still in nappies at age 3 she's such a bad parent? Babies being potty trained from birth? What? Why? When...?

I don't think anyone understands and I know for a fact I didn't when I first had my little girl. No way on Earth did I think it was going to be this difficult!

I choose some pieces from there website that i can wear day to day in my mummy life and still feel comfy.

My updated skincare routine (nivea & garnier remover)

Here's a updated skincare routine, as you know my skincare isn't a very long expensive routine. It just comes to night and i want my make up off and on a morning i will even use some make up remover just to get rid of the dirt that has produced on my skin overnight.

I use to just have a pack of face wipes that i would take my make up off but with having oily acne prone skin they really wasn't working for my skin type. My acne was getting really bad so i swapped it up a little and started using something that removed make up a little more intense. I could even see it making such a difference just using new products over the next couple of weeks.

My Christmas wishlist that's affordable

This is my Christmas wishlist for 2016,

I went for all affordable things and wanting something that's super expensive i know isn't really practical for us and its all things you can get now for yourself or others.

Only a year later

I do apologise for being absent from blogging for over a year, i thought id have the time and effort to do this but being a mum and looking after a house is hard work. I really didn't think it would be. My little girl started nursery this year and the schools a good walk away from where we live so by the time i get home i get 2 hours to myself.. except its not to myself its pretty much to clean the house up and then i'm setting off back to pick her up.. by the time shes home the house is back to the way it is in the first place haha but that's whats having a child is all about, even though her daddy seems to make more mess!

Ava's Summer Clothes Haul

I do apologize for not writing a blog post in months! I just really haven't had time or motivation to do it. I nearly gave it all together but I've decided to give it another go. I think the main thing is i need a better camera etc which will make me want to do it. Fingers crossed ill be getting one soon and i can stop using my iphone as a blog camera.

Over the past few weeks I've been doing a lot of shopping online and in stores for my daughters 'summer wardrobe' plus all of her old clothes were size 12-18 and shes growing so quickly and is now into 18-24. Some are quite large but i wasn't going to buy a smaller size as shes 21 months old now so i'm just going with the age. 

Mini Mothercare haul

Okay so i've been absent for a little while on here as i'm finding it really hard to have spare time to write anything and take pictures etc. Avas now getting older and needing more and more attention and shes now having shorter naps and sometimes not even any naps through the day. I thought id have time but i'm really struggling to find space in my day to do a blog post. Also i've been feeling really exhausted and i've had no energy to even think about what to do next on here. But i'm finally doing a little one as promised. 

I recently went to Mothercare to get a few things, we really needed to get Ava some summer shoes as we went to Clarks and they was quite disappointing. The shoes she got sized for was way too big and she was tripping up all the time in them so we took them back and got her sized in Mothercare Clarks and she was a whole 1/2 size wrong. So in the end we just ended up getting some pretty sandals from the Mothercare store and leaving Clarks. 

These sandals are half price of some shoes from Clarks and they fit her perfectly and don't rub her and she never trips in them.

Maybelline Color Tattoos 24 hour!

These are another little revisit for me, I don't usually use cream eyeshadows as i find they crease loads on my lids but with a eyelid primer they work quite well. I had 3 colours so far, Immortal charcoal, Metallic pomegranate and On and on bronze. The colour pigment isn't that great to be honest when applying on the lid it goes on really nice but once blended out with a Mac 217 it goes quite see threw on the lid, a sheer blend of eyeshadow. Super easy to blend though.

These eye shadows have had a lot of hype and i just don't see why, they're not that great and they definitely do not last all day never mind '24 hours' but who wears make up for 24 hours anyway.
