Clayton west light railway trip!

Recently I won some tickets on Facebook to go on a trip to Clayton West Light Railway.
But this wasn't the first time we had been, last year in December we booked tickets to go see Santa Claus and Ava was only 2 years and 3 months old. I wanted to do something special and it was it was magical! even for us adults. You get a 40 minute slot to get onto the little steam train ride through to Shelly, Visit Santa have a mulled wine drink and mince pie then get on the train back. All for a decent price! Definitely an experience not to miss. It was dark too so you could see all the Christmas lights and even go through a dark tunnel. Ava loved every minute. But get wrapped up because its freezing!

I then entered a competition on Facebook and won tickets so we decided to keep them until it got near our little girls birthday and we knew it would be a little warmer this time round. We booked the trip in the morning on a Sunday as they are mostly open just at the weekends.

We took our own little picnic and got given activity sheets to look out for certain images scattered around the stations. We could see a lot more around us this time as it was day time. Through the tunnel they turned the lights off to give it more of a dramatic experience. It was brilliant just like the first time we went and I would go again in a heartbeat!

You can even visit clayton west without children as you can get off at any station you want and back on again. Great for people who love adventures!

They have events on all the time from Santa specials to Easter events, Visiting Thomas tank and Halloween nights!

Get booking its brilliant!
